The Person Behind MonaNest

I started this site so home warranty plans are easier to read before anyone signs a thing.

My Story

Why I Built a Plain Spoken Warranty Guide

I kept watching friends and neighbors buy a home warranty, then learn what it truly covered only after something broke. The brochure promised plenty. The contract said something narrower. That gap is what pulled me in.

MonaNest is where I lay out how plans tend to work, which systems and appliances they usually name, and where the limits often sit. I write it the way I would explain it across a kitchen table, with no sales pitch attached.

A plan is only as useful as your grasp of it. My job is to make that grasp easier to reach.

How It Works

From Breakdown to Repair in Four Steps

Pick a Plan

Match a plan to the systems and appliances in your home.

Send a Request

When a covered item quits working, send a service request.

Get a Diagnosis

A qualified local technician looks at what caused the failure.

Repair or Replace

Covered items are fixed or replaced the way your plan lays out.

What I Hold To

The Habits Behind Every Page I Write

These are the promises I make to myself before anything goes live on this site.

Read the Contract, Not the Ad

I base what I write on how plan terms are usually worded, so the picture you get matches the paperwork you would sign.

Point Out the Limits

Exclusions, caps and waiting periods get the same attention as the good parts. Surprises are exactly what I am trying to remove.

Keep It About Your House

Every home holds a different mix of systems and appliances. I steer you toward the questions that fit yours, not a one size answer.

Who I Help

Homeowners Who Want Straight Answers

New Buyers

You just got the keys and the seller may have included a plan. I help you see what it lists before you need it.

Longtime Owners

Your furnace and water heater have put in a lot of work. I help you weigh whether a plan suits older equipment.

Sellers

A plan can reassure a buyer during a sale. I explain what it usually includes so you can describe it honestly.

Landlords

Rentals see heavy daily use. I walk through how plans tend to treat the appliances your tenants rely on.
